Medical kit solutions
Missionpharma is the world's largest supplier of medical kits with more than 30 years of experience. During the past 5 years, we have distributed more than 1.7 million medical kits worldwide. Naturally, we possess a profound expertise and experience in product sourcing, product combinations, kit packing optimisation as well as facilitation of in-country distribution.
Further emphasizing the global demand for kit solutions, we continually have 1-3 kit projects running all year round.
Why choose a kit solution?
The reasons for choosing the delivery of a medical kit as opposed to just ordering products line by line may be many and vary substantially from country to country. Some of the advantages of choosing a kit solution are as follows:
|
|
Local distribution
The facilitation of the local distribution of medical products can be a complicated issue to handle. In many cases, end users are located in different parts of a country, which puts further demands on the local health management system. A medical kit containing the right combination of products for the specific destination eases the distribution challenges considerably.

|
|
Carton markings
A clear overview of the type, quantity, batch number and expiry date of the products is marked on each carton, excluding the need to open the carton prior to re-distribution. We provide all our cartons with complete packing lists containing all relevant information to facilitate easy identification by the medical staff.
Furthermore, the cartons are marked with colour codes for visual identification - an important feature when different kits are shipped to the same destination.

|
Emergency situations
In critical situations, where emergency assistance is needed, it is crucial that the right combination of products is ready for shipment within a very short time frame. In addition to being able to pack a range of kits at short notice, we also offer our customers a facility whereby we keep a stock of pre-packed kits in our warehouse for immediate shipment upon request. Packing optimization
Needless to say, it is imperative that kits are packed to best fit the conditions under which they are transported. Furthermore, in order to minimise transportation costs, packing is optimised to best utilize the space available. Therefore, we always create a sample carton before the actual kit production begins, ensuring that:
-
If possible, no air is left inside the carton.
-
The weight is evenly distributed inside the carton.
-
Glass items are placed in the middle of the carton and secured in fixed positions by other items.
-
Liquid products are placed horizontally and packed individually in airtight plastic bags.
Furthermore, we always design our kit cartons to optimally fit the measurements of a standard container. This not only ensures that kits are not damaged during transportation but also minimises transportation costs.

|
|
User instructions
It is of crucial importance that the local medical staff know how to use the products in the kit most effectively. Instruction booklets in the local language containing diagnostic and treatment guidelines are often included in our kits.
|
|
|
Electronic packing system
All our kits are supplied with an extensive kit packing list which includes complete batch information, a service directly integrated into our internal system. This enables the tracking of products at any time, which is an important element in the handling of recalls and claims. It also minimises the risk of errors and maintains control of the products and expiry dates in each carton.

Kit packing facilities
Missionpharma manages all kinds of kit packing projects from our facilities in Denmark and India. If circumstances allow, we also develop, setup and manage kit packing projects in the country of destination.
By facilitating local kit packing projects we directly assist in developing in-country competences by providing complete access to our expertise and comprehensive quality, purchase and logistic systems.
