AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria are killing more than 6 million people each year.

For years Missionpharma has actively supported countries in their fight against HIV/AIDS, TB and malaria by committing ourselves to making effective and affordable HIV/AIDS, TB and malaria products available to economically disadvantaged populations.

Our range of products includes pharmaceuticals and medical devices related to the prevention, detection, treatment and monitoring of these three diseases.

HIV/AIDS More than 60 million people have been infected with AIDS worldwide since the disease was first reported in 1981. More that 20 million people have already died from the disease.   AIDS is the leading cause of death in Africa, and each minute an African child dies of AIDS.

We supply a full range of ARV products (NNRTIs, NRTIs, PIs) and HIV/AIDS-related drugs (such as antibacterial, antifungal and anticancer drugs) as well as supply easy-to-use HIV diagnostic tests.

Tuberculosis Though curable, TB causes 2 million deaths each year - of which more than 250.000 are children.   More than 8 million people become sick of TB each year and an average of 25.000 people develop TB every day.

Besides providing all first-line anti-TB products in various stregths and dosage forms, we promote the use of 2-, 3- and 4-drugs fixed-dose combinations (FDC). Using FDC simplifies the treatment, so fewer tablets are needed and distribution becomes easier.  

Missionpharma supports the DOTS (Directly Observed Tratment, Short-Course) treatment strategy facilitated by the use of FDC.

Malaria Malaria causes the death of more than 1 million people annually, mostly children under the age of 5.   90% of all deaths caused by malaria occur in Sub-Saharan Africa, where approximately 3.000 people die from the disease every day.

The best prevention against the life-threatening mosquito bites that cause malaria is the use of bednets. Therefore, we provide a full range of bednets, including insecticidal-treated bednets (ITN) and long lasting insecticidal-treated bednets (LLIT).

As the WHO recommends the use of impregnated bednets only, we supply insecticidal products for mosquito net impregnation in tablet and liquid form, such as Permethrin, Alphacypermethrin, Cypermethrin and Deltamethrin. We are also able to pack and distribute mosquito nets, pesticides and K-vitamin in a single kit for easy use on-site.

Furthermore, we supply all common anti-malarial products, including combination therapies, fulfilling the needs of most national anti-malarial treatment policies. Closely following WHO recommendations, we also provide drugs containing artemisinin derivatives (ACT).
