Right manufacturer

All manufacturers supplying essential drugs and medical devices to Missionpharma are prequalified by our QA/QC department.

However, we do not require prequalification if the product is:

		Registered in the EU or any other country member of ICH (International Conference on Harmonisation) or PIC/s (Pharmaceutical inspection Convention/Pharmaceutical Inspection Cooperation Scheme).
		Prequalified by the WHO (World Health Organization) and the GF (Global Fund). The prequalification programme is managed by the WHO and relates to the Global Fund initiative to facilitate access to medicines that meet unified standards of quality, safety and efficacy for HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.

Missionpharma prequalified manufacturers

In order to ensure quality, safety and efficacy of all products delivered by Missionpharma, the Procurement department is only authorized to buy products from manufacturers that are already prequalified by our QA/QC department.

WHO prequalified manufacturers

If a manufacturer is already prequalified by the WHO, we do not necessarily perform our own prequalification.

Upon receipt of the product in our warehouse, we always control that the product is manufactured in the site listed in the product dossier assessed by the WHO and inspected by the WHO.

We want to ensure availability of all essential drugs and medical devices and be able to fulfil specific requirements from our customers. Therefore, the Procurement department is constantly looking for new partnerships with manufacturers worldwide in close co-operation with our QA/QC department.

Monitoring supplier performance

The performance of all manufacturers is closely monitored based upon the following criteria:

		Lead time
		Service level
		Pricing compared to average international price
		Delivery perfomance

Once the order is placed with the manufacturer, we continuously follow up on the performance. Upon final delivery of products, we carefully evaluate the entire process.

The delivery performance of all manufacturers is constantly monitored and non-performance results in a withdrawal of the cooperation.
