Bo Birk Project Manager Business Development

I joined Missionpharma in 1996, where I was employed as a Procurement Officer. I was promoted Procurement Manager in 1998 and spent the next five years building up a Procurement department which developed strong relations to especially Indian and Chisese manufacturers.

During these years, I completed the Merkonom Modular Study Programme, went through a management education tailormade for Missionpharma managers and participated in a range of Procurement courses.

In connection with the company’s strategic focus on India, my physical presence was required in the country. In 2004, I had the opportunity to live with my family in India and strengthen my focus on developing the cooperation with our Indian partners.

In 2005 a group of experienced Missionpharma people was selected to form the company's Business Development department. Business Development focuses on fostering new ideas in relation to development of business concepts and management of larger complex projects.

Encouraged by Missionpharma’s management I have further completed a project management course, which further strengthened my competences.
