UNDP/Global Fund project in Congo

In December 2005 Missionpharma was awarded a UNDP contract covering distribution of a considerable amount of drugs to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).


This innovative project is the first public-private partnership under UNDP Global Fund grants making a procurement agent responsible for the entire supply chain.

Inventory Management System, training and distribution of 1.500 tons of medical products in 18.000 individually packed cartons to final recipients all over DRC.

By the end of 2006, Missionpharma has delivered over 30 million condoms, distributed ARVs to treat 11.000 people, provided more than 1,5 million treatments of ACTs and over a million families with insecticide-treated nets.

Together with UNDP, Missionpharma has accomplished significant results in DRC encouraging a number of key stakeholders to support the strategy of public-private partnership.
