UNDP seminar in Copenhagen
Last year, Missionpharma was invited by UNDP’s Global Fund Unit to participate in a Procurement and Supply Management Workshop for Global Fund Countries.
The workshop was hosted by UNDP’s Inter Agency for Procure-ment Services Office (IAPSO) and took place from the 14-16 November 2006 in Copenhagen.
26 UNDP country officers were represented at the workshop and Missionpharma was invited in our role as trusted LTA (Long Term Agreement) partner to UNDP.
UNDP acts as PR (Principal Recipient) for the Global Fund in 26 countries worldwide. The main purpose of the workshop was to address the challenges in connection with procurement of HIV/AIDS, TB and Malaria drugs and further to provide the UNDP country officers with valuable information through:
-
Presentations from UNDP Country Officers, UNDP partners (IDA, Unicef and Missionpharma) and representatives from Clinton Foundation and The Global Fund.
-
Exchange of ideas and possible solutions among the participants based on presentations made by each UNDP country officer.
Missionpharma contributed to the workshop by presenting a specific project, which we have recently implemented in Congo DRC.
The Congo project covers complete project implementation and management including procurement, monitoring, consolidation, shipment, custom clearance, central warehousing, local distribution and last but not least delivery of products to the right authorized person. Read more /arrow_news.gif)
The workshop was a great success and all participants learned more about how to handle the multiple challenges in connection with procurement of pharmaceutical products within the GF program.
Furthermore, Missionpharma took advantage of the opportunity to position ourselves as a partner who always seek to provide the best and most price-competitive solution, whether the request is for complete tailor-made solutions or stand-alone product deliveries.
