Support to earthquake victims
In collaboration with International Red Cross, Missionpharma is playing an active role supplying aid to the victims suffering from the earthquake which took place in Kashmir in Pakistan in early September.
From its headquarters in Lynge, Denmark, Missionpharma has sent bandages, infusions, surgical equipment, anti-cholera equipment and medicine, enough to accommodate the needs of 400,000 people.
According to news reports the earthquake killed more than 100,000 people. Three million people are homeless and struggling to survive a situation likely to become more severe as a result of the expected snowfalls in the mountain areas. An unknown number of people are injured and disease has struck the refugee camps.
The need for medicine and medical equipment is urgent. Missionpharma is ready to assist with all resources available, which may be needed in order to accommodate rapid and efficient relief to the numerous victims.
