Release of Missionpharma Inventory Lite

In August 2006 Missionpharma released an Inventory Management software solution, called Missionpharma Inventory Lite (MIL). The software is designed for use at local hospitals, dispensaries and NGOs.

MIL was developed to assist drug recipients at a regional level to manage their inventory, and further to offer the data necessary for making decisions regarding re-supply of commodities. 

Via MIL the user has access to reports on stock level, stock location, received goods, issued goods and monthly average consumption per product.

Stock management and pull procurement

MIL provides an easy to use programme for managing products supplied by Missionpharma. Data about received goods is provided by Missionpharma based on the relevant orders. Data includes information about quantity, batch, expiry date, manufacturer, carton number etc.

Pull procurement can be implemented at a local level, as MIL provides essential data to optimize supply-related decision-making. The system offers key data such as the following:

  Products dispensed to users
Consumption statistics
Stock on hand
Adjustments and losses


Once the software is installed on the user's computer, detailed data about each delivery is sent by Missionpharma via e-mail. It takes only a few seconds for the user to download the data into the database, thereby updating the inventory.

In the near future, Missionpharma Inventory Lite will be available to download directly from our website. Additional services will include:

  Access to supplementary reports
Monitoring of consumption at regional level


Missionpharma Inventory Lite will be implemented at Global Fund's subrecipients in Democratic Republic of Congo during October 2006.
