Missionpharma as main sponsor at the Develop Prize event

In June 2009, the annual Develop Prize competition took place at an award ceremony in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The Develop Prize is a social entrepreneurship competition where groups of dedicated people come together to create innovative ideas with the potential to improve the conditions for people living in developing countries. The aim is to implement the ideas into concrete projects with positive impact in the developing world.

THE COMPETITION 

All participating teams were professionally evaluated by Develop’s Advisory Board members, which is a group of key representatives from a number of important Danish companies and organisations within the field of business and development.

This year’s winner was the company Technoganga, who won for their ambitious idea of making medical devices more accessible to the African countries.

Their aim is to design electronics and medical devices that are low-cost version of already existing devices. Their business idea of reverse engineering is the result of several years of activities as volunteering for the organization Engineers Without Borders.
