Missionpharma reaches settlement regarding Congo case

Missionpharma has today reached a settlement with the Danish Public Prosecutor, resolving a case raised regarding Missionpharmas involvement in a project in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

During this project, Missionpharma successfully handled a complex and comprehensive task for United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) delivering medicines and medical equipment to the country. The settlement was reached between Danish Public Prosecutor and Missionpharma.

The charges, which were previously raised against former CEO and current Chairman of the Board, Kim Ginnerup, have all been dropped.

"We have chosen to enter into a settlement and thus settle a case which for a long time has limited our company's business opportunities – a case, which also potentially could take several more years to clarify.

Missionpharma has entered into the settlement for commercial reasons and we expect that this closure again will strengthen Missionpharmas position as a major player in our area of supplying essential medicines to third world countries. At the same time, we wish to leave the case behind us and look ahead" says Kim Ginnerup.
